Call of the Wild
In the late Victorian era, artistic, scientific
and commercial endeavours put into practice
preserving nature in all its states: human (“the
primitive native”), animal and natural. In
keeping with that spirit I was inspired by the
collage style of early twentieth century artist
Max Ernst, who used Victorian engravings to
investigate the “natural” and cultural
inclinations that guide human nature.
