Fly Girl
Fly Girl memorializes the histories of American
women aviators I have read about.
Immortalized through Greek mythology and
Renaissance theories of artist/scientist
Leonardo da Vinci centuries ago, the dream of
flight was finally realized in the twentieth
century -- not just for men, but for women too
--“Fly Girls” battled issues of race, class and
gender to open the skyways and training
facilities for female pilots.
