Ties That Bind:
Collage and Fibre Art
In
this age of recycling, collage and fibre art are
enjoying a renaissance. Sharing a fascination
for form, pattern, texture and narrative, both
fuse new and used papers, fabrics and fibres to
transform the material of everyday life.
Inspired by our personal lives and creative
experiments, fibre artist Krystyna Sadej and I
explore the relationship between the two
mediums. The our show Ties that Bind: Collage
and Fibre Art is being held at the City of
Ottawa Archives, Gallery 112 at 100 Tallwood
Drive (corner of Woodroffe) until July 24, 2015.
